About Alpine Meadows Assisted Living

Alpine Meadows…helping you live your best life! Everything we do at Alpine Meadows is focused on helping our residents live life to the fullest. We have tried to put a lot of thought into this new facility, providing some of the latest technology for senior living. We have Berber carpet in each apartment, instead of commercial carpet, so as to help create a more home-like atmosphere. We have 7 different room sizes, to try and offer more choice. Beginning with a small studio, all the way up to a 1 or 2 bedroom. Our facility is beautifully landscaped with a walking path around the campus. There is an outside patio for dining in the summer, or just enjoying the view. The location provides easy access to the freeway, hospital and doctors. This location makes it easy for friends and family members to come and visit their loved ones, and enjoy either of our 2 spacious living rooms with a fireplace and big screen TV. They can also enjoy the formal dining room or library. You won't want to leave without taking in the breathtaking view of Bogus Basin and the surrounding Boise Foothills.

Alpine Meadows offers much more than a place for older people to live. It is a vibrant community that will give seniors companionship, comfort and a wide choice of activities that match individual interests. When people come to Alpine Meadows, they lead a richer life. They move from isolation to a community, and discover a second family and a place to thrive.

Whether it’s the Administrator, or the dishwashers, caregivers or housekeepers, activities director or cooks, you will find the same unwavering commitment to serve our seniors from each and every one of us at Alpine Meadows. We believe that nothing is more rewarding than making a difference in a life. So when our residents tell us that we are their second family, we truly understand—because we feel the exact same way. Become part of our family…

Our Commitment to Quality

We promise you Quality!
Behind the warmth and compassion of Alpine Meadows are pages of standards, policies and procedures, protocols and ongoing training, which is an investment on everybody’s part in doing what is right for our residents.

To ensure we deliver the quality of care we promise, we have resident council meetings once a month, so residents can express their likes and dislikes, and any concerns they might have. We also conduct regular customer satisfaction surveys with the families of our residents. We rely on the findings of those surveys to guide our conduct, whether it is in the courteousness or knowledge of management, our responsiveness to any concerns from residents and/or their families, or to the taste of the food we serve.

To make the “Promise of Quality”, is a big statement. Everyone at Alpine Meadows does not take that statement lightly. We are dedicated to ensure that we deliver that “Promise of Quality”!

“Living Your Best Life Program,” which is our activities program, is based on an extensive review of our residents’ interests and input from experts on how to keep the mind, body, and soul active. Going to plays, and musicals, or bowling and playing tennis matches on Nintendo’s Wii TM, or enjoying movies, are just some of the ways Alpine Meadows residents continue to lead fulfilling lives.

The Heart of Alpine Meadows Dining

Delicious Dining with a Dash of Home Cooking! At Alpine Meadows, good company is always on the menu in our dining room, where you’ll meet friends and make memories over breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Our food service staff offers fresh, high-quality foods personalized to fit the needs of our residents. Our menus reflect the traditional tastes as well as local tastes. Our selection changes with the seasons to ensure we use the freshest ingredients. Special dietary needs including, low-sodium, no sweets, or low-fat, are easily accommodated. Our cooking staff takes the time to get to know each resident and tries to cater to his or her tastes and needs. Our residents’ health is our number-one priority, and we know many of them have special dietary needs. We’re pleased to offer a heart-healthy diet, including items prepared with no added salt.

Our food service staff welcomes you from day one with a housewarming party, called Bright New Beginnings, for you, your family and friends. Through our signature dining program, you’ll always enjoy nutritious, home-like cooked meals.

Through our “A Taste from Home” program the cooking staff recreate our residents own recipes for the entire community to enjoy. We encourage residents to participate in planning meals by attending monthly meetings where you can suggest changes and additions to the menu.

Teresa Villanueva
My name is Teresa Villanueva. I am the proud Mother of three wonderful kids. Shawn, Kristin, and John. I also have 2 beautiful grandkids, Lexis 8, and Eloy who is 5. Lexis and I love to go yard selling and scrapbook together. Eloy loves to get Grandma to play football with him or watch him golf; he is a little spit fire. I love my family and spending time with them is everything to me. I have a friendly personality and love to laugh. Bringing my fun and loving personality to the residents at Alpine Meadows is my passion. I want to make every day the best it can be for all who live in this wonderful assisted living community.

Rickie Schultz - Care Supervisor
I have been in the medical field for over 15 years, having earned my Associates Degree in Science/Medical Assistant RMA CMA at AIHT of Idaho.  Over the yers, I have worked in the hospital, group homes, and clinical settings in Idaho and Alaska.  One of the reasons that I came to Alpine Meadows is that of all the nursing-related jobs I’ve had over the years, I found working with seniors to be one of the most rewarding.  Seniors always have such inspiring and interesting life stories to share.  I have learned so much from my residents I have cared for.  The elderly are truly amazing people and I continue to learn from them.  They have done so many interesting things in their lives and truly appreciate what we do as healthcare professionals.  I am a mother of two beautiful girls.  Through the years as being a parent, I’ve learned what exactly makes up a strong family that possesses good family values.  A family that sustains its members – that supports and nourishes the members throughout the span of that family.  A strong family unit creates a safe, positive and supportive place for all members to thrive.  They are able to utilize resources and to live together in a healthy loving manner.  Whether it is my own family, residents and their families or my team members, it is my mission to provide a working and loving environment that encourages families to stay supportive and involved with its members.

Jennifer Severson - Kitchen Supervisor
I am a recent Culinary and Baking and Pastry Graduate of the Oregon Coast Culinary Institute. I have been cooking professionally for four years now, however before that, I had a few years experience in the healthcare field. After working in different foodservice operations around the country, when I came home to Idaho I was looking for something more familiar and rewarding than the places I had been while finishing my education. At Alpine Meadows, I am so lucky to have the best of both worlds. Creativity in the kitchen and the loving and close-knit family atmosphere of an Assisted living Facility. Cooking for the residents at Alpine Meadows has been very special to me, helping me grow not only as a cook, but as a person.

Testimonials

We moved my mother and father from Eastern Oregon due to failing health. They really needed extra care that we couldn't give them at the time. My mother passed away just shortly after they moved into Alpine Meadows suffering from extreme health problems. My father too had some very acute issues that he was dealing with but with the love, compassion, and great food he was able to regain most of his health that an 89 year old man has.

We have been to many facilities similar to Alpine Meadows but didn't feel the warmth and compassion that we found there. It is small enough that the staff is able to respond to the needs of the residents almost immediately. My father became very involved with the outstanding activity programs and has many friends who reside there. There were several fixes that had to be done for my father to make him more comfortable and safe in his environment and the administration and caregivers were always there to make them happen. My father is a World War II veteran and the nurse worked very closely with the Veterans Administration in providing for my father's needs.

We will be ever grateful to the staff at Alpine Meadows for the caring, loving, compassionate care that has been given to my father and mother. They are simply the very best in these regards. —Ronald & Cheryl Fuller, Meridian
